Q. Can I now drive any sort of car - like a 2-seater sports car?
A. Most companies will have company guidelines as to the type of car you are being funded to drive.

Q. Can I drive a second-hand or pre-registered car?
A. Provided it falls within the company guidelines in many cases, it may be sensible to acquire a pre-registered or ‘nearly new’ car; a smaller or more ‘cost-efficient’ car.

Q. I don’t have any insurance No Claim Bonus - can SJF help?

Q. I already have a mortgage and HP commitments, how will this affect any extra credit borrowings?
A. SJF will recommend a funding method which, as long as you maintain the payments, will not affect your credit rating. Your company is also paying you a monthly car allowance to specifically cover that cost. Your net take-home pay will also increase because you will no longer be paying any car benefit tax.

Q. What if I run my own car and the engine blows up on business travel, will the Company pay for that?
A. You will receive a car allowance more than sufficient to fund a new car. SJF cars are all provided with a full manufacturers’ warranty, so provided the car has been properly maintained and is still under the manufacturers' warranty the problem will be taken care of.

Q. What happens if I leave or lose my job?
A. Payment protection cover and Early Termination policies are available with your vehicle finance, this covers redundancy, resignation, sickness, accident etc. Details are available from SJF

Q. What happens if I get promoted or have to change the amount of business miles I do?
A. Promotion to a higher grade could mean an increase in your salary car allowance, your tax-free mileage allowance is directly linked to your actual business miles travelled and with one phone call to SJF you can also vary your monthly payments.
